Senior Structural Engineer (Main Steel)

Global Maritime Poland, based in Gdynia, is looking for a experienced engineer with a background in Structure for a position of Senior Structural Engineer. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of engineering analysis and reviews (e.g. cable lay analysis, structural analysis, etc.) associated with marine operations, design, and marine warranty surveying. The key dimensions of the role include:
- Be a team member of the structural discipline and area multidiscipline teams.
- Perform structural local analyses for topside main steel.
- Perform structural lifting, installation and transportation analyses for topside structures.
- Design of temporary steel.
- Perform structural analyses by use of Sesam and hand calculations.
- Engineering draft check. Write structural design reports. Interface towards other disciplines.
- Fabrication follow-up.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Must have experience from large Norwegian EPC offshore modifications or new build topside projects.
- Experience from structural design according to DNVGL, NORSOK and Eurocode.
- Extended knowledge to SESAM Genie software packages.
- Extended knowledge within topside structural design development and the corresponding multidiscipline interfaces and coordination.
- Experience from design development of topside main steel from concept to detail design, and be able to carry through the design and documentation.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience.
- Master or other relevant education.
- Fluent in English and Polish
