The Position:

The responsibilities include investigation and reporting of product defects as well as verification of code fixes.

In this role, you will:
- Write automated tests
- Write test specifications
- Investigation and reporting product defects
- Ensure a high level of quality through adequate test coverage

The Person:
Candidates must have a strong technical and computer science background and come prepared and ready to learn Pegasystems technology and test Pega products. Software Development Engineers in Test are expected to think independently, but also must value teamwork as they design and develop first-rate software in a collaborative setting.
Qualifications will include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience in automated testing
- Practical knowledge of software testing best practices
- Good troubleshooting skills, a high attention to detail
- Good knowledge of script languages like Ruby (RSpec)
- Exposure to Web-Services, REST and API testing
- Experience with automated testing tools like Capybara is desired
- Agile/Scrum development methodology experience
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS and Javascript is a plus
- Ability to perform detailed analysis to determine root cause of software defects
- Good command of English
