We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Senior Software Engineer
Location: Cracow
Key Accountabilities:
Maintain applications running on Windows Server 2012 environment (application support related)
Providing technical support during the project life cycle (production support/testing/development)
Producing technical design related documentation
Creating and modifying procedures in VBA, SQL and .NET
Working with Microsoft Access to manage and support user front-ends and small database related matters
Embedding and following group strategy, values and behaviors while dealing with project related matters
Taking an accountability for quality of an output and timely delivery of tasks,
Collaborates and builds positive stakeholder and business partner relationships,
Contribution & co-ordination of resolution of day to day service impacting incidents & long going problems while preserving testing & development environment stability and continuity,
Providing technical expertise and consultancy on Windows platform related matters
Manage and maintain application development environment
Participate in Major Incident Reviews and Service Improvement Programs as required
Overseeing vendor’s and further support team’s performance and Service Level Agreements compliance and escalating when necessary
Co-operating with application vendors for the consultancy and the support
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience working on complex projects with multiple stakeholders in different countries
Self-driven and proactive
Fluent English
Excellent decision making, problem solving and analytical ability
Able to achieve excellence under time & stress pressure and being able to multitask,
Experience in supporting integrated application environments and servers (physical, virtual) upgrades and cluster migrations or technology updates related to the supported application portfolio
Database and database processes understanding (Microsoft SQL DB). Knowledge of SQL commands to be able to retrieve service, business data related information or the database state info
Knowledge of VBA and MS Access environment being an essential
Experience with Microsoft IIS and SSRS service
Experience with system implementations, organizational processes and database/technology migrations
Being flexible and supportive to an on-call support and after hours consultancy
