Senior Software Engineer
Job purpose:
As a Java developer you will work on the development of software solutions targeted for large-scale customers. You will have a chance to work with enterprise scale technologies like modern ITSM systems, ESB/OSB, ETL, orchestration solutions, etc.. As a part of agile software development team you will participate in all stages of application lifecycle. You will participate in the specification, development and unit testing of the applications. You will work in the innovative, open environment where you will have a chance to share your ideas and consult ideas of others.
Desired skills:
- Proven 2-3 years of experience in Java (JEE) programming
- Strong understanding of programming concepts: object-oriented programming and design, inter-module communication patterns, software engineering
- Basic understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
- Fluency in working with SQL is a must
- Working experience with JBoss and Tomcat application servers
- Working experience with one of RDBMS systems (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL)
- Quality focused
- Professional with a real “can do” attitude
- Ability to speak in English is required – French or German will be an asset
- Version control tools (SVN, GIT, ClearCase, etc.)
Additional, non-required skills
- Experience in working with one of ESB solutions (Mule, Fuse, ServiceMix, OSB, etc.) is an asset
- Experience in working with one of ETL/BI solutions (Microsoft IS/AS/RS suite, SAP BO, Informatice, Pentaho, etc.) is an asset
Job responsibilities:
- Participate in Design, Implementation and Support phases
- Deliver work to agreed estimates and timescales.
- Produce estimates for own work and to ensure estimates for the creation and development of IT solutions are achievable.
- Maintain and develop knowledge skill and competencies in software development.
