For our Client, well-known international company located in Kraków we are looking for a person interested in the role of Senior Software Engineer Java.
Your new role
Tasks and Duties:
- You build and maintain a global payments platform acting as internal PSP for all brands at QRG
- You configure and develop new Java-based services and APIs with varying complexity and scope, guiding less experienced team members.
- With new systems, you develop feasibility analyses and provide input to software design and architecture.
- You check code quality and compliance with standards, and in particular respond to user issues that have been escalated by less experienced team members.
- You independently ensure complete documentation for changes/extensions of current systems.
- In projects, you select appropriate procedures and approaches to address technical challenges in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.
- You are responsible for the specification of software requirements in the context of agile software development, including Work Breakdown Structure / Effort Estimation and Alignment of Specifications with the Scrum Team
- You support the team by participating in the rolling on-call
What you'll need to succeed
- Completed studies in the field of business informatics, computer science or a completed vocational training, e.g. as an IT specialist with corresponding further training courses and several years of professional experience.
- At least 7-8 years of experience in agile software development with as many of the following Java frameworks and technologies as possible:
- Spring Boot
- Experience with Sprint Integration is desirable
- Spring MVC
- Spring Config
- Angular knowledge is desirable
- Spring Cloud, Eureka and Netflix Stack skills are desirable
- Unix
- Very good knowledge of the development of Restful APIs and services, as well as in integration with relational databases (MS SQL Server and Oracle preferred)
- Experience in change management
- Ideally, several years of experience working with containers
- A high understanding of software architectures.
- You are team-ready, communicative and happy to share your knowledge with colleagues
- You have a broad knowledge of current trends, market developments and technologies
- Work experience in IT finance, banking or fintech sectors is a plus
- Good knowledge of English in word and writing
