Senior Project Manager

Position purpose

The primary goal of a Project Manager is to lead and direct a project in order to successfully achieve agreed goals and client’s satisfaction.

Hold responsibility for all aspects of the project over its entire life from concept design to final implementation including cost, schedule and contractual deliverables.

Project Manager is responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the project.

Main accountabilities

• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Develop full-scale project plans for the projects and contribute to the overall plan, highlighting dependencies to other projects
• Ensure that project meets it’s deliverables in agreed schedule, as per the scope, within stipulated budget and as per the quality standards
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
• Ensure all project commitments are met, and monitor and report on progress to sponsor and customer, as well as the PMO in accordance with the reporting standards, ensuring the project remains within scope
• Diagnose and evaluate potential risks and issues throughout the project
• Act as escalation point for problems and complaints, and manage compliance, contingency, and risk situations within own area of control
• Full accurate and on time execution of standard Project Management processes

Requirements

• 5+ Years of work experience in project environment
• Strong Leadership skills; planning and organizational skills
• Good interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
• Openness for frequent travels
• Must be able to demonstrate a level of maturity while under constant pressure from the business and technology community
• Experience with Project Management Tools like MS Projects and MS Office
• Experience in managing IT Projects would be an asset
• PM certifications preferred
• Ability and comfort interacting with all levels of management, business leaders and technology stakeholders
