Your new company
For one of our Clients, a global financial company, which is currently entering the Polish market, we are looking for candidates for a position of Senior Legal Counsel who will join a growing Shared Service Center based in Warsaw.
Your new role
The person hired on the position of Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for supporting global Head of Legal and the local Board in implementing vision, strategy and direction for the Legal team consistent with the Group’s strategic direction and growth aspirations. This person will also provide legal advice, guidance and support to the business units in a timely and effective manner. Furthermore, Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for risk management – will report to and participate in key risk control committees and management groups on relevant legal risks and issues of the company. What is more he/she will manage or support disputes involving the company in line with Group requirements as well as manage legal matters and engage external legal counsels for the company. He/she will also be serving as the Company Secretary to the Board and Board Committees of the bank. What is more, he/she will take responsibility for providing legal advice, guidance and support to business units and stakeholders in the Company on all legal matters in Poland.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of professional experience gained in internal legal department or in the law firm. Experience gained in financial sector is a must in order to understand the complexity and specific of the processes. Additionally, as this is a role based in international structure, the candidates should present fluent English skills. We are looking for mature and business oriented individuals with a strong managerial and communicational skills and a positive, people oriented attitude.
