WHAT’S THE JOBABOUT?
The team has created and is developing a businessoriented application for Google internal use. We areworking on new versions, pushing the customerexperiences to a new level, covering differentplatforms. Depending on your experiences yourtasks can cover bug fixes, design and write newfeatures or influence the architecture of the nextversion.
TEAM
We are team of 22 passionate people however ournumber is changing as we are constantly growing.
Teamconsists of Back End (Java/Python) and Front EndDevelopers (JavaScript), QA Engineers, UXDesigners, TechnicalWriters, Business Analysts. We work in Cracow,Wrocław and Prague.
Managers come from Zurichand London.
REQUIREMENTS:
Min. 4 year experience in softwaredevelopment and Java.
Relevant university degree.
Feeling comfortable with algorithms.
Ability to improve the execution.
Complex data structures should be easy foryou.
Designing and querying of relationaldatabases.
Handling of web services and protocols tasks which you are an expert in.
You should not be afraid if we expect you tohandle API development (protocol buffers,apiary), integrate 3rd party products or workwith non-relational databases.
Communication in English should be easy foryou, we are a multinational team.
BESIDES THIS IT WILL BEGREAT IF YOU AREFAMILIAR WITH:
Experience in building complex web apps thathave been successfully delivered to customersor users.
Feature prioritisation.
Feature effort estimation.
Agile / Scrum development.
Working within geographically dispersed multiculturalvirtual teams.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Interview with Hays (verification of CV,answering your questions, in Polish or English,30-40 minutes).
Technical videoconference with our externalconsultant (Java skills, in Polish or English, 60minutes).
2x technical videoconference withdevelopers from the team (Java & algorithmicskills, in English, 60 minutes).
HOW DO WE WORK?
40 hours per week / flexible working time.
Code review, unit test (currently about 80%coverage), static code analysis.
Version control system, Build server, issuetracking tool, knowledge repository.
QA engineers
Scrum environment.
Regular employee evaluation.
Company wide code styles.
Laptop and workstation, 2x24 displays, supportof Mac and Linux.
Task distribution: new feature 80%,Maintenance 10%, Document writing 5%,meetings 5%.
