For our client, an international provider of paper and packaging solutions,we are looking for candidates interested in the role of Senior IT Platforms Monitoring Engineer.
Your new role
The person on this position will responsible for the development, maintenance, and deployment of various monitoring tools that includes hardware, network, databases, cloud services and application.
60 % of your duties will consist of development and deployment. You will interpret designs and requirements to develop systems for test and deployment, evaluate, develop and recommend specific technology products and platforms to provide cost-effective solutions that meet business and technology requirements. You will be also designing and developing best fit monitoring solutions and also creating scripts and tools that drive automation and enable product teams and end users to move towards self service.
30 % of your duties will consist of support and enablement. You will manage various operational requests and troubleshoot issues, maintain, upgrade and support existing systems to ensure operational stability. You will be also participating in project planning and management across multiple efforts.
10 % of your duties will consist of learning andparticipating in and contributing to learning activities around modern systems engineering core practices.

To be a successful candidate on this position you need to have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideal candidates should also present the following:
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools in large scale environment (+50k objects)
- Experience analyzing, supporting, and creating monitoring rules/methods within an enterprise monitoring environment
- Experience with Application Performance Monitoring: Dynatrace/AppDynamics/SolarWinds
- Experience in Windows environment troubleshooting
- Experience with Network troubleshooting
- Experience with ticketing systems, preferable ServiceNow
- Basic knowledge of AWS
- Proficiency with scripting languages, including PowerShell, Bash, Python or Ruby
