We are looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer with excellent Java skills and full-stack development experience to join our client’s R&D unit.
Daily tasks and responsibilities

Essential tech skills:
- scripting and automation in at least one of: Bash, Python, Terraform
- source management and CI/CD tooling
- Kubernetes, Docker and understanding of the containerization concept.
- microservices and event-based architectures, including understanding benefits, considerations and limitations of each approach

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer with excellent Java skills and full-stack development experience to join our client’s R&D unit.
Daily tasks and responsibilities
- Full-stack software development, primarily in Java and JavaScript
- Tests development and automation
- Scripting and automation (Bash, Python)
- CI/CD pipeline maintenance
- Cloud infrastructure automation and maintenance (Kubernetes)
- Cloud-native solutions full-cycle development from implementation and testing until running in the production
- Developing industry-leading innovative solutions using industry-accumulated knowledge and best practices
- Contributing positively into the teamwork and team deliveries through common team effort and knowledge sharing
- Third line support for developed solutions
- Periodically, approx. once a year: taking a tech lead role - leading a team of developers, including organizing work and setting up/following software development processes; agile coach and developer mentor role fulfilment
What you’ll need to succeed
- Ideally more than 5 years of experience in full-stack software development, or more than 3 years of exact experience in the required technology stack.
Essential tech skills:
- Excellent Java development skills
- Experience in front-end development
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- scripting and automation in at least one of: Bash, Python, Terraform
- source management and CI/CD tooling
- Kubernetes, Docker and understanding of the containerization concept.
- microservices and event-based architectures, including understanding benefits, considerations and limitations of each approach
- building scalable high-availability fault-tolerant systems
- REST
Nice to have:
- Data wrangling/cleaning (including ability to use plain SQL)
- Different communication protocols and design patterns like protocol buffers, gRPC, AMQP etc.
- Experience with NoSQL and understanding how NoSQL correlates to SQL databases
- Contribution to open-source software is a huge advantage.
Other:
- Ability to work fully independently with previously unfamiliar technologies and achieve the result.
- Ability to work in the loosely structured self-organizing team with DevOps attitude in mind. Interest in working in start-up-like fast-changing environment.
- Fast-learner, interest in modern cutting-edge technologies and best-practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills for effective team work.
- Understanding agile practices and sharing the values (Scrum/Kanban)
