Who we are?
Controllership is in charge of HP's internal controls, which are essential to the effective operation of the company and the proper management of assets.
The organization is focused on USGAAP reporting, local legal reporting as well as financial integration of mergers & acquisitions.
The Financial Reporting Team is accountable for ensuring that all business activities are reflected correctly in HP Germany's books. This requires close cooperation with business finance teams as well as a thorough understanding of our complex transaction processing and reporting system environment.
Our team is the counterpart for accounting teams in the Finance Shared Services centers as well as for the European and worldwide finance organizations.
What we want you to be responsible for within Senior Financial Analyst Role?
- Ensuring compliance with HP's financial policies and local legal accounting regulations.
- Closely cooperating with our partners in the accounting centers in order to understand/identify potential issues and have them corrected.
- Taking ownership for defining balance sheet/P&L positions and be accountable for their integrity.
- Providing regular reviews (like quarterly balance sheet or monthly internal reviews), ad hoc analysis and the preparation of our local GAAP annual reports require solid accounting knowledge.
- Playing a key role in closing our books on a monthly basis.
- In addition you will be involved in local process improvement projects and new system implementations/rollouts as well as merger/acquisition activity affecting your balance sheet positions.
Wymagania
How do we picture you?
- A university degree in business administration/finance or equivalent qualification
- Min.10 years work experience in finance/accounting
- Strong proven knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP (HGB), ideally also German Tax law understanding
- Sound SAP experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong initiative and independence
- Perfect German and excellent English language skills (oral and writing)
