Your new role
We are looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer to the team at our Gdańsk, Poland location. As a key member of the team you would be working as part of a scrum, co-operating with other team members distributed across various locations. The purpose of this role is to drive automation and build highly performant, scalable and reliable processes for software deployment.

Your new role
We are looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer to the team at our Gdańsk, Poland location. As a key member of the team you would be working as part of a scrum, co-operating with other team members distributed across various locations. The purpose of this role is to drive automation and build highly performant, scalable and reliable processes for software deployment.
Key responsibilities:
- Look for opportunities to automate processes to enable more streamlined workflows
- Work with Operations team to upgrade manual processes and enable greater visibility around monitoring and alerting.
- Drive new automation workflows in the cloud, leveraging platform services.
- Establish direction and best practices for CI/CD processes
- Build automation around replication of production and lower level environments
- Improve security standards and processes to deliver highly secure solutions.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams in an Agile environment to remove roadblocks and facilitate successful delivery of the work items
- Proactively share knowledge on DevOps best practices, tools and emerging technologies
- Provide technical mentorship, coaching and training to junior members.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential skills:
- 5+ years of Developer/SysAdmin/Devops Engineer experience.
- Experience in object-oriented-programming languages (Java).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Groovy).
- Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD
- Experience with relational database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/subprojects simultaneously, organizational skills
- Experience using Agile Methodologies, primarily Scrum.
- Familiarity with Web and Application Servers (Apache, Nginx, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss).
Desired skills:
- Experience in using public cloud services (AWS).
- Proficient building out automation using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, AWS Codebuild)
- Applied knowledge of deployment tools (Ansible, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS Codepipeline)
- Understanding of various monitoring tools across the stack (APM, Infrastructure Monitoring)
- Strong scripting (Python, Bash) skills with a mindset of automating routine repeatable tasks
- Applied knowledge of container technologies (Docker, AWS ECS)
Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer/Software Engineering.
