Senior DBA - MS SQL/Oracle

IT infrastructure service for one of the world biggest and leading financial group. Successful candidate will help our client with BAU and Project activities, working as MS SQL Server/Oracle DBA in cooperation with Application Technology & Infrastructure teams to build and support complex IT infrastructure. Implementing best technologies and service practices to achieve high availability and performance of related business applications.

Our team primary location is Kiev, working remotely in client environment in close collaboration with customer management, IT OPS and Development teams.

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic MS SQL Server/Oracle DBA who will be responsible for, as part of a team, directing the architecture, configuration, integration, monitoring and development support of client database applications and associated resources.

The ideal candidate will have experience in MS Server database and specifics of Cloud solutions. This role will be focused on buildouts of new environments and overall heath and support of existed database systems. In this role you will also work to establishing best practices, standards in security, manage projects, actively participate in systems architecture events to create innovative solutions.

Administration, support, and maintenance multiple MS SQL databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security for the agency both on prem/Azure.

Administration ofg Oracle database and Oracle Applications R12 12.2.x.

Serving as a technical expert in the area of Oracle Applications and database administration

Building database schema, tables, procedures and users/user access levels for each segment of database and modification of existing databases and database management systems. Setting up database for appropriate data sharing and disk partitioning,

Overseeing backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and fail-over. Implementing security and encryption to the database to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized use, modification or disclosure.

Analysis, consolidation and tuning of databases for optimal efficiency, monitor systems and platforms for availability, monitoring database jobs for timely and accurate completion, and monitoring of capacity and performance of database and jobs for effective up-time and response time to the consumers of the data.

Serving as the top-tier escalation point for technical user issues and diagnose and resolve the most advanced issues.

Working as a part of a project team to coordinate database configurations and determine project scope and limitations. Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time required to accomplish project.

4+ Year of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server; 4+ years’ experience with Oracle Database technologies;

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle;

Experience with SQL, ETL;

Proficient SQL Server and Oracle engine and query tuning skills;

Familiarity with SOX controls, segregation of duties principles, least privileged access principles preferred;

Expert performance troubleshooting and remediation skills;

Experience with internal and external backup and restore methodologies;

Working familiarity with APIs and related application technologies;

Proficient in data security strategies (data at rest and in transit);

Linux/Windows OS experience is a must;

Knowledge of ITIL framework and project management methodologies preferred;

Strong ability to communicate problems that occur to a technical and business audience;

Excellent Oral and written skills;

Focus on quality of work and customer service;

Experience in DB platforms such as Sybase, Mongo and MySQL a plus;

Preferred - Certification in SQL Server development/ETL design & development;

Advanced certificates or certifications with Microsoft technologies is a plus;

Experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP preferred;

Data analytics skills a plus (machine learning algorithm applied to data);

experience with Microsoft Azure Environments & Services (IAAS, PAAS, Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Automation, Monitoring) highly preferred.
