Responsibilities

•Participates as a member of development team or teams.
•Performs analysis of functional and business requirements.
•Completes code to implement solutions.
•Contributes to design activities; may design solutions.
•Codes independently; participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews.
•Designs, prepares and executes Unit tests.
•Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Oracle / MS SQL Server database concepts).
•Performs solution design.
•Works closely with WEB, .NET and BI developers to implement a solid end to end solution which allows for Service Oriented Architecture solutions.
•Prepares code stubs for others. Completes code to implement solutions.
•Designs solutions for others to code. Participates in cross-functional teams.
•Leads design activities, provides mentoring and guidance to other developers.
•Demonstrates technical leadership, and exerts influence outside of immediate team.
•Develops innovative team solutions to complex problems. Contributes to strategic direction for teams.
•Independently implements end-user or enterprise infrastructure or services of significant complexity.
•Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for HP and customers.
•Mentors and consults with team members and other organizations, customer and vendors on complex issues.
•Works with Data Models to transform Logical Models into Physical models.

Education/Experience

Typically a technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and related experience or a Master’s degree and experience.

Knowledge & Skills

•Experience writing code in PL and/or T SQL.
•Knowledge of C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML to enable interactions with WEB, .NET and BI developers.
•Knowledge of ETL tools, (SSIS, Informatica).
•Experience of multiple full release cycles.
•Understanding of modern software development methodologies.
•Understanding of modern software development tools and SCM.
•Strong understanding of Database Administration, (Users, Roles, Partitioning, Indexes, built in vendor objects).
•Strong understanding of performance issues and solutions.
•Business Analysis.
•Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team.
•Strong Knowledge of Normalization rules.
