Currently for our client, who is US corporation providing services in the field of risk management, insurance, consulting and outsourcing in the area of human capital management, we are looking for Senior Data Warehouse Developer.
Job specification:
- Responsibility for the design, development and implementation of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, data marts and related applications
- Analyze, monitor, and troubleshoot data warehouse loads - integration systems, tune and optimize data warehouse loading to enhance performance. Create and implement data warehouse load processes
- Design and construct the data warehouse technical infrastructure. Plan and conduct structured testing of database designs to confirm functionality and performance. Develop and maintain logical and physical data models of the data warehouse and data marts
- Assist in developing and implementing the metadata strategy
- Create and maintain production support documentation
- Use project management and systems development life cycle methodologies to achieve on time results
- Developer will work closely with project management, analysts, data modelers, DBAs and the business intelligence team to understand project
- Being a support and mentor for coworkers
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-6 years’ experience with SQL Server 2008 relational database management system
- Highly efficient with SQL queries and T-SQL, ability to write and debug complex SQL queries
- In depth knowledge and experience of data warehouse and Ralph Kimball dimensional modelling
- Significant experience in designing and building large data warehouses
- Significant experience in end to end software development life cycle (requirements, design, development, testing and implementation)
- Significant experience in data analysis, reconciliation, functional testing
- Performance tuning and optimization (from design and technical code perspective)
- Ability to understand functional requirements and transform those into technical specification and design
- Proficient in business communication – both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate with the clients both in business functional and technical language
- Knowledge of financial accounting – Balance Sheet, P&L, Trial Balance, Financial Ledgers etc.
- Ability to work independently and within a team esp. with the junior team members and sharing knowledge
Additionally:
- Previous experience within the Insurance sector, familiarity with Insurance terminologies
- Experience with project delivery
