Our Client is one of the largest banking and financial servicesorganizations in the world. It is responsible for global businesses within the fields of Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Markets and Private Banking. Currently we are looking for Candidates interested in joining new Strategic Analyticsteam in Kraków.
As a Data Scientistyou will work on methodological projects relating to the wide range of statistical activities. Your role will be to undertake advanced model building for the analytic components of the platforms developed by Strategic Analytics, using techniques from machine learning and advanced data processing algorithms;
Areas in which you definitely will be working are:Advanced risk measurement methodologies for low default portfolios; Systemic risk, in general, and contagion dynamics in particular; Economic and predictive models of country and sovereign risk, especially the dynamics linking currency crises, banking crises and sovereign default; Stochastic optimal control of bank balance sheets in the context of financial crises.
As an experienced Data Scientistyou will have a good knowledge of a range of analytical or statistical techniques. You will be skilled in the manipulation and analysis of data and presenting results. Advanced machine learning methods for predictive modelling of country risk phenomena and the development of early warning systems as well as Bayesian methods for generalizing model structures can be encountered when working with low default portfolios.
We are looking for Candidates with strong mathematical programming skillsin high-level languages such as MATLAB, Mathematica, Python (SciPy, NumPy), R, Maple, or Lua. Broad awareness of design patterns typically used in application development would be an asset. MSc or PhD in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, Computational Finance, Neuroscience, Computational Statistics or Statistical Learning Theory (i.e. Machine Learning) is a must.
