SecureCo is a 10+ year old Swiss Cybersecurity company with around 30 employees and consultants, which is a subsidiary of TNFI. The company focusses on providing its clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, with communication security solutions
Your new role
This role is key to contribute to create, develop and fine-tune SecureCo’s products. It requires strong technical skills coupled with resilience, enthusiasm, and drive. Strong collaboration with the rest of the team is required, as well as a can-do and team player attitude.
Define and develop technical component design based on specifications for Android app functionalities, in collaboration with the development and product team.
Take the lead for Android applications architecture and design.
Code reviews of the other team members and effort estimation for the upcoming feature builds.
Develop unit tests for developed components.
Improve the software performance and quality through design patterns, bug fixing, app performance profiling and instrumentation.
Maintain and extend the existing source code of Android application and participate in the enhancement of other components of the SecureCo’s product.
Implement architecture POCs and create documentation for new features according to the requirements defined by the Product Manager.
Collaborate with the QA/Testing team to create high quality software components.
Participate in SecureCo’s existing Agile software development processes.
Learn, grow, and develop in a team of motivated and highly driven software development professionals.
Any other functions, in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, reasonably required by the line manager.
What you'll need to succeed
Mastering applications development for Android and corresponding best practices is a must.
Good knowledge of Gitlab and continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
Solid experience in networking, protocol implementation and background tasks on mobile platforms.
Good knowledge in real time communication systems (e.g., WebRTC, VoIP, messaging) software development.
Solid experience with Agile software development practices.
Structured and synthetic approach to software development.
Demonstrated experience on Android Enterprise and Google Play publishing.
Experience in network security, code obfuscation, run-time protection, UEM integration and applied cryptography is a strong plus.
Desired Technical Skills: Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, AndroidX, Android Jetpack, Multi-threading, Dependency injection, JNI, RxJava/Coroutines, Design Patterns, MVP/MVVM, OpenSSL, Bouncycastle, Protobuf, SQLite, SQLCipher.
