Security Operations Manager (SOC)

Location: Wrocław

Job Description

Today's rapidly evolving threat landscape demands smarter and more responsive managed security services. IBM Security Services offer the industry-leading tools, technology and expertise to help secure information assets of thousands of the world’s leading businesses and governments.

Join our team of highly skilled security professionals who are working on a comprehensive end-to-end coverage for our clients’ IT security services needs.

We are looking for a SOC Manager to support our Security Services team.

 

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • Lead the Security Operations team
  • Document, develop and improve the operational guidelines
  • Develop and maintain KPI reports on services and solutions performances
  • Work closely with dedicated Security Account Manager (SAM) to address security expectations of the customer
  • Coordinate, follow up and escalate complex or major incidents, also outside normal working hours
  • Keep a close collaboration during new projects with the security architects and security specialists in the technical delivery in order to setup security recommendations and have them implemented

 

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 4-5 years of experience of managing security operations in enterprise environments
  • 4-5 years of experience providing technical leadership to assigned projects
  • 6-8 years of working knowledge of SIEM tools (such as RSA, Arcsight, Splunk and QRadar)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in IT Security Technologies
  • Background in Vulnerability Mgt, Security Incident Mgt, Forensic Analysis
  • Strong Team Leadership skills
  • Ability to translate security impacts to the wider business
  • Ability to drive strong customer satisfaction
  • University degree in Information Technology or Information Security GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent certifications
  • Ability to work in an international context and excellent communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and working relationships in a project-based / client-serving model, and to work closely with people at different levels of an organization
  • English is a mandatory language requirement
  • The role may require off hours support, occasionally
  • Readiness to travel 50% in Belgium, Luxemburg, and Poland

 

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

  • 4-5 years of experience of managing security operations in enterprise environments
  • Security certifications would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus
