Salesforce.com Developer

to build, support and maintain a suite of applications using the Salesforce/Force.com platform. The user base of these applications will be both internal and external. In this role it is required to support a number of projects within the organisation including application enhancement, integration of external solutions, etc. In addition providing 2nd/3rd level support to business users on all systems is part of this position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Understanding business requirements and translating these into technical solutions based on the salesforce.com platform
- Designing and creating the underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build including: custom objects/fields; work-flow; approval processes; apex triggers; visual force pages; other Force.com features
- Liaising directly with internal business users and providing 2nd/3rd line support on the salesforce.com built applications and other interal business applications
- Keeping up to date with the latest plans and developments on the salesforce.com platform

Required Skills
- Experienced in the development of web applications (PHP, Java, Flex, JavaScript, etc.) preferably with cloud based services such as salesforce.com, Google App Engine or Amazon EC2
- Good knowledge in latest web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript / AJAX, Web Services / SOAP, XML, etc.)
- Good understanding of software languages Apex, Visual Force, SOQL & SOAP-based web services are beneficial
- Ability to participate in all phases of software development/implementation life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment and support
- Ability to collaborate with users and management in defining, analysing and designing of new processes and systems
- Ability to write technical documentation
- Very good spoken and written English knowledge, German is a plus but not required
