On behalf of our Client, a global SSC newly established in Gdāsk, we are currently seeking Candidates for the position of GL Accountant.
Your new role
Holding the position of GL Accountant you will be expected to ensure timely, effective and efficient processing of general ledger-related transactions, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and performing period end closing activities. The main focus will be to process/raise journal entries, analyze and reconcile accounts, close books and consolidated financial results, and to perform financial (statutory), regulatory and tax reporting. Moreover, you will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation of bank accounts and performing cashpool reconciliation, working on resolution of unreconciled items, preparing and posting entries related to bank transactions, preparing and processing intercompany transfers and handling exceptions and exclusions. The position also requires managing tasks related to guarantees and currency risk management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have a University degree (educational background in accounting/economic is an asset). Adequate understandings of ERP environment as well as 2-3 year experience in accountancy is a must. Fluency in English is required. The ideal Candidate will be a pragmatic person with strong analytical skills, service orientation and proactive attitude.
