RFQ Design Engineer
Location: SkawinaFor our Client – global production company based in Skawina, due to the fact of intensive development, we are looking for an experienced people for the position of RFQ Design Engineer.
The main purpose of the position is:
The purpose of the job is to provide Slide Gate and Purging Systems Refractory Engineering design services and technical information for end users on a global basis. This includes the design of refractory assemblies requested by Sales via the RFQ process, collaboration with the materials R&D group on refractory strategies and the design of trial assemblies utilizing the latest R&D materials for lab and field evaluations. The position will utilize the data management system used with the department’s CAD software, JDE ERP software, and Lotus Notes Databases.
The position will also support NPI (New Product Introduction) and other special refractory design projects on a global basis under the direction of R&D, Enabling Technologies, or other groups influencing the sales of new technology products.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at the similar position.
- Mechanical Engineering (or related) degree.
- 3D experience with modeling and creating manufacturing prints from the models will be an asset. SolidWorks software is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to participate in and contribute to a collaborative productive team environment.
- Creative and innovative in approach with the ability to work unsupervised and to tight deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel on a regional and global basis.
- Programming and data management skills are a plus.
