This is a new role within the Retail IT Systems Competency Center, and is based in Gdansk office. The successful candidate will assume 3rd line support responsibility for current and future Retail applications that are used in store chains across Europe.
Retail Application Support Analyst

- Act as 3rd Line support for Retail line of business applications
- Ensure service stability (performance, capacity, support, patching) and Continuous Service Improvement goal by identify areas of improvement
- Codify common problems into simple resolution articles that can be handled by 2nd line.
- Development of tools and processes to remove or reduce reoccurring errors ensuring a high rate of first time fixes
- Participate in projects to enhance existing and deploy new applications
- Assists Business Analysts / Project managers / network and security engineers in creating technical designs
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous database experience of MS SQL as Admin level
- Practical experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience of testing database driven web based applications
- Understanding of client-server architecture
- Experience in working with XML and XPath an advantage
- Experience using an incident management tool (e.g. Remedy, Service now, Jira)
- Good general technical knowledge including:
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English as a minimum (and German would be advantageous)
- Experience of creation and maintenance of knowledge Articles / support documentation
- Experience of application testing and processes
