Job description:
  • Responsible for the ongoing and independent oversight of business continuity, recovery, incident management, and governance tasks for an Global Operations across the EMEA Region, in preparation for potential crisis events such as staff availability losses, pandemics, and technology incidents, among other risks.
  • With guidance, assists the assigned function with the identification of risks to regional Operations functions; oversees regional business continuity testing, cross regional recovery, and staff relocation testing required by all the Enterprise Resilience Office; and all applicable regulatory and legal entities.
  • Assists the assigned function with the assessment of business continuity and recovery preparedness activities, including tabletop and full-scale exercises.
  • Supports the business line managers via the Operations Resilience Lead & Business Recovery Coordinator network to ensure the firm is meeting both client and regulatory requirements related to Business Continuity; will work with the Enterprise Resilience Office, Technology, and all Operations functions across EMEA.
  • Consistently tracks, monitors, and reports key resilience metrics to senior staff; will provide data on training, completion, and pending items.
  • Closely monitors, reviews, and implements new regulatory and legal guidance; educates Global Operations staff on EMEA specific regulations.
  • Will contribute to cross-functional efforts to promote a strong Business Continuity & Recovery culture throughout the organization.
  • Will assist with the drafting and maintenance of the business recovery playbooks and business continuity plans across EMEA.
  • Helps the function to develop projects and programs to improve resilience across Global Operations; with a specific EMEA focus.
  • May complete similar tasks for third-party & vendor continuity.
  • Will attend meetings and continue to build relationships throughout the firm; contributes to the achievement of team objectives; no direct reports
  • Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 5+ years of total work experience preferred.
  • Financial industry experience desirable.
  • Relevant experience in process improvement managing within operational areas, implementing programs, changes, incident management.
  • Experience in coordinating projects.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, stakeholder management.
  • Business English.
  • Proactive attitude, communication and organizational skills.
