R&D Technical Production Manager

THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Namen Belgium.
The client is a food ingredients giant with their headquarters in the area of Brussels. Their goal is continuous innovation. Because of their constant expansion, they are looking for an addition to their R&D team in the province of Namur. You'll be working in an English and French speaking environment, so fluency in both is key.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will be responsible for upscaling the industrial production of fermentation and dough products. You have experience in the technicalities of setting up production lines and have experience in the Food industry. Combining these, you know exactly how to improve the processes and how to select and test new equipment. Although you will be working from the Namur office, you will have to travel to a different plant in Luxemburg once a week to share your experiences there.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• You're the end responsible for adding new products to production lines
• You support new production lines in getting started
• You give technical support in case of malfunctions
• You optimise formulas and processes to increase output
• You manage new production equipment and processes
• You keep an eye on consumer expectations and keep the product quality high
REQUIREMENTS
• Master or Bachelor in Bio-engineering or similar
• Preferably 5, minimum of 3 years of experience in setting up food production lines
• Experience in industrial food environments is a must
• Fluent or native, both in English and French
• Willing to travel to Luxembourg one day a week
• Passionate about food, beer or fermentation
