Responsibilities:
- develop strong relationships with local customers;; personally drive customer improvement activity to promote the long term interest of the business
- lead and develop the local technical team to ensure the team’s capability meets
- current and future requirements in support of Function and Company strategies
- monitor Key Performance Indicators for the technical team to ensure department performance exceeds business needs
- improve business performance by identifying key areas for business improvement, then lead and sponsor improvement projects to ensure the site (or department) has an active Continuous Improvement Plan to improve performance
- to ensure compliance to Quality Management System to maintain external accreditations and any specific customer approvals
- participation in improvement activities at department / company level to enhance business performance
- comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual
- masters degree
- minimum 3 years of work experience on similar position
- 10 years in a mechanical engineering manufacturing environment
- extensive Quality Systems ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge
- some experience in customer or supplier facing technical role
- some experience of leading improvement activities
- project management skills
