Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Flandre Orientale Belgium.
It is one of the largest companies worldwide specialized in fruit juices, producing for the global market.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The QC Service Manager stationed in East Flanders is the crucial link between the production sites and the sales department. He or she is responsible for ensuring product quality and leading continuous improvement projects. In addition, the QC Service Manager will also be the technical point of contact for the Sales Department, clients and industry stakeholders. Frequent contact with colleagues worldwide and external parties, as well as regular travel, are part of this role. You will also manage a department of 6 laboratory analysts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the QC Laboratory, 6 direct reports.
- Ensuring the quality of incoming and outgoing products.
- Providing technical support to the Sales Department and joining client visits.
- Driving continuous improvement and optimizing processes and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Bio-Engineering, Food Technology, Chemistry or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience with Quality Control in a leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of chemistry, experience with fruit juices is a plus.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement.
- Commercial mindset.
- Fluency in Dutch and English required, fluency in other European languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel regularly (20%-30%).
