THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.
Our client is an international organisation active worldwide. Recently they have made large investments in their R&D program, looking for innovation and to become market leader across the world. Due to the growth of their activities they are currently looking for a project lead.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
In this role your main responsibility is to take the breeding program in place at this moment to the next level in terms of efficiency and its impact. The way to do this is through exploring new technologies to implement in the program. Managing people, actively working in the field and greenhouses and managing several projects will be amongst daily tasks. Collaborating with colleagues across several departments including the diverse team of breeders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing projects of the R&D team implementing innovative techniques for the physiology and cell biology activities;
- Managing the existing database of traits and improving the database including new traits;
- Making changes to the IP position of the company for the profit of the company;
- Directly and indirectly managing a team of specialists aiding them with your knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS
- PhD in a plant sciences related field;
- Experience in plant breeding and genetics in industry;
- Strong communication skills and people management skills.
