Description
We are part of the international ALTEN Group, which brings together over 28,000 outstanding IT and Engineering specialists around the world. We currently are looking for a Production Support/Release Manager who will join our team to deliver the most innovative technology projects.
Main tasks
- Manage Support team who provide daily Technical Support for Back Office Applications
- Provide management and mentoring for regional Production Support Managers
- Ensuring legacy and new implementations follow best practise design standards in line with business requirements and bank technology standards
- Act as point of conduct for Back Office IT project teams, other IT teams as well as third party vendors
- Ensuring change implementations follow best practise design standards in line with business requirements and bank technology standards is crucial
- Ensure that all server activities are conducted in compliance with group standards, security and audit regulations to include user, data and application interfaces
- Ensure that all platforms have an approved and tested resilience and contingency solution manner that takes account of operational risk considerations
Requirements
- Experience of Managing Support teams
- Track record of defining support processes, driving implementation and making a difference in an investment banking IT environment
- Ability to translate group standards and best practice into practical application locally, proposing creative solutions and driving implementation
- Experience of development and maintenance of application software
- Understanding of complex infrastructures
- Experience of working with SQL, Sybase and Oracle Database
- Ability to work flexibly
- Analytical skills to assist in the resolution of complex issues that may be time sensitive
- Highly literate in support methods/processes and experienced in pragmatic implementation.
- Knowledge of English language (min. C1)

- Experience in working in a Global Banking/Investment banking environment
- Experience of working in Regulatory oriented environment
- Expert user and sound knowledge of Java, Control-M, SQL, Oracle, Sybase, Windows and Unix
- Experience of applying ITIL methodologies for Managing IT Services
- Broad experience in challenging/demanding environments
- Experiencing supporting reporting systems and infrastructures
- Understanding of investment bank front and back office process flows, including those from upstream and downstream systems
- Experience of supporting users for regulatory reporting
- Experience of delivering value in demanding situations
- Experience of performance management, communications protocols and a broad range of technologies
