ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Production Leader directly manages 25-30 employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities. He/she also develops and provides recognition to reinforce positive behaviour in a professional manner. You are responsible over several production lines and the maintenance team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of 20+ and mentor them towards optimum productivity
- Planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Keep abreast of new developments that could (in)directly influence the team
- Confer regularly with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities between shifts and departments
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 4 years overall work experience
- Minimum of 2 years leadership/management experience
- HBO or higher education degree preferred
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends when required
- Experience in the food sector is a pre
