THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Netherlands.
Client is an international company specialized in the breeding of potatoes – one of the most important foods in the world.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Combining new traits with superior quality, you will be creating new types of potatoes suitable for all environments across the globe. I this role you will be active in the trait- ad pre-breeding activities in potato. In this capacity you will be in contact with colleagues from the departments molecular biology, plant pathology and quality group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Making up of experimentations, population development, phenotyping for marker assisted breeding and mapping studies;
- Working with datasets: analysis and interpretation thereof;
- Scientific and practical support of members of the breeding team.
REQUIREMENTS
- MSc/PhD in plant breeding/molecular breeding/genetics;
- Experience in data management and R, Genstat or similar;
- Multi-tasking and good communication skills
