Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Netherlands.
The company of our client is an internationally focused Agricultural business. The company is specialized in breeding potatoes. Their breeding programs are set-up in different parts of the word to cover the wide variety of species they develop. The organization is innovating through molecular breeding methods and biotechnology focused at potatoes.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
In the role of Potato Breeding Manager within this organization you will maximize quality and breeding processes in the research centers. In these areas it is important to align the desired and actual outcome of the breeding project. Furthermore, asses and process the actual breeding result for future breeding techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as Potato Breeding Manager you will need to showcase experience and knowledge in the following areas:
• Breeding management of the breeding program
• Communication with field experts and breeders
• Focus on the development of breeding projects and formulate key areas to enhance performance
• Further improve potato species for quality and produce
REQUIREMENTS
To successfully fill this role as an Quality/Breeding manager, you should have the skills, attitude and behavior that follow:
• Phd in Agricultural related fields or MSc in this area including relevant working experience
• Between 3-5 years of experience with potatoes in the breeding industry
• Strong breeding, project management and research knowledge
• Fluent in English is a must and other foreign languages are an advantage
• Proven breeding skills
• Hands-on mentality to anticipate to daily operations
