Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Baden-Württemberg Germany.
International pharmaceutical company specialized in development and manufacturing. The company sells their products to major pharmaceutical companies while they are still in charge of the whole process.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Laboratory Technician for Pharmaceutical Development will be working in the Galenic Laboratory.
A new drug involves a process that includes studying its reaction to different pathologies and evaluating its side effects.
Drug development technicians are in charge of optimising the various stages leading to the final product, including formulation and stability, studying its pharmacological activity and pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion) and obtaining the final dosage form or pharmaceutical development (tablets, injectables, creams, etc.).
There will be several positions open in the field in the upcoming months. The company is also exploring to start working in two shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the design and implementation of formulation studies and pharmaceutical development
- Coordinate the design of formulations and the perfection and validation of the scaling processes and manufacturing of formulations.
- Coordinate stability studies of new drugs
- Result documentation
- Compliance of GMP and ICH guidelines
- Perform activities and experiments (determinations of solubility, compatibility studies, bio-degradation, formulation sampling, temperature cycles and physical evaluation of the products)
- Conduct pharmacological, toxicological and metabolic studies
REQUIREMENTS
- Scientific background (vocational studies + 5 years of experience, Bachelor +3, Master +2 years)
- Previous experience working in a laboratory
- Good understanding of drug development, pharmacological and stability studies
- Have previously worked with galenic/ solid dosages forms (tablets, injectables, creams, etc.)
- Fluent in German
