Currently, we are looking for a Performance and Optimisation SME who will carry out a project for our Client – an American data communication and telecommunication equipment provider.
Main tasks
- The role will deliver the Front to back implementation from Front Office into SPARC and then onto downstream reporting and reconciliation systems. Focus on experience in Technical implementations is essential.
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy.
- Maintain bank Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
- The major challenges of this project include:
- Number of involved parties to coordinate
- Complexity and risk integrating various data source systems
- Data quality, both reference and trade
- Scope creep and defective business requirements
Requirements
- Strong Oracle Special Matter Expert (SME) with 4+ years’ experience
- Excellent Data Modelling, Database Design, and Performance Tuning skills with proven track record working across full life cycle on large scale projects which involve many dependent systems teams up and downstream of the application being built
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Experience and ability to make technical design/implementation decisions
- Experience of working on high-profile data warehousing/OLTP projects for similar scale organisations in AGILE environments.
- Strong experience of data modelling and database design tools such as PowerDesigner or ERWin to deliver high quality Logical Data Models, Schema Designs, and DDL scripts.
- Understanding and experience of using Kimball/Inmon multi-dimensional modelling and data warehousing design techniques
- Excellent Oracle SQL query writing, including ANSI SQL and PL/SQL abilities
- Good command of English both written and spoken
