THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.
Is leading in the market for fresh berries, such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. This company has more than 100 years of experience in farming and hundreds of farming sites all over the world. Focusing on the use of only natural breeding berries, not using any GMOs, the company employs dedicated teams of breeders, agronomists, plant pathologists and analysts.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Because of a continuously growing business within DEMEA, the number of needed punnets for the packaging of the berries is increasing significantly. Berries need to be directly put in the punnets after they have been picked, which means that the right amount of punnets and the right type of punnets need to be produced. As a packaging specialist you will be responsible for this challenge by successfully coordinating and execute technical projects taking the whole supply chain into account within the DEMEA region. You will closely work together in teams and communicate closely with various country packaging managers, sales and marketing and forecasting colleagues, but also different suppliers within Europe. You will also be responsible for the organisation of packaging and pricing data, to create a clear overview.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Making sure that packaging related processes are improved
- Providing the right support in technical and supply related packing projects
- Management of the different suppliers
- Close communication with sales, marketing and operations
- Organisation of packaging and pricing data
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc in Engineering + packing specialisation or packaging experience
- Well developed communication skills
- Experience within international oriented company
- Experience with the improvement and execution of different projects
- Fluent in English
