THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Limburg Belgium.
The company is a speciality food producer currently experiencing growth and therefore needs a Operations Manager experienced in change management.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Operations Manager directs and manages the operations regarding all aspects of production, packaging, maintenance, safety, quality, and supply chain. The Plant Manager will implement cost control over operational operating expense and develop and control capital expenditure. He/She will provide leadership to quality management for factory cleanliness and food safety and lead daily staff meetings to monitor production compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely producting high-quality products according to specifications, according to customer needs and with respect to delivery times and numbers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate the creation and implementation of new products or projects
- Driving the team to create the best operational results and to ensure the achievement of targets
- Build and maintain strong relations with suppliers and vendors.
- Implementation of guidelines given as per HACCP, GMP, ISO
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in plant management, maximising factory efficiency and reducing operational cost.
- Technical or Food related educational background, with relevant experience in running food processing plants.
- Experience with Operational Excellence and Lean manufacturing (TPM, Six Sigma etc)
- Previous experience in leading 50+ staff members (indirectly) in the food processing industry.
