NEW Financial CoE - Global Accounting Director (m/f)
In this role, a person will be solely responsible for the preparation of consolidated month, quarter and year-end reporting (IFRS) and the required footnote disclosures of ca. 40 legal entities. This function will work closely with external auditors to coordinate and support the annual audit process at Group and local levels. We are looking for a highly experienced candidate with a very hands-on approach who will report directly to the Global CFO.

Description
- Management of accurate and timely preparation of the consolidated financial management information according to IFRS and internal guidelines;
- Fiscal reporting to authorities and investors, including the support of quarterly and annual bank compliance activities;
- Development of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory and IFRS requirements, including leading the implementation of new IFRS standards or changes to the management reporting guidelines, along with analyses of impacts on financial statements and KPIs ;
- Assessment of financial accounting treatments of new, emerging or changing business activities within the Group and prepare high quality accounting documentation which supports the conclusions (incl. purchase price accounting, subsequent valuations and impairment calculations);
- Guideline support to affiliates to enhance transparency, for both IFRS and management reporting, including support for all group entities on the accounting treatment of unusual or infrequent transactions;
- Assistance with M&A activities, risk control management and with the development of financial systems;
- Integration support and assistance with financial reporting training and explanation of Group guidelines for newly acquired entities or newly hired regional/local controllers;
Profile
- Higher education degree with a formal accounting qualification like CPA, ACCA;
- At least 10 years' experience of international group and/or public accounting;
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a commitment to deliver high quality work, whilst able to identify and prioritize key tasks;
- The personal credibility essential for influencing senior contacts;
- Able to deal effectively with change in the working environment;
- A team-player and innovator ;
- The interpersonal skills necessary to challenge the business proactively beyond the traditional remit of the finance function;
- Fluent English;
