For one of our Clients, an US-based large company, opening its Competence Center in Tricity, Randstad Technologies are looking for a Network Security Engineer.
This role reports to the Team lead for Network and Security and works as a member of a highly technical global engineering team in the design, implementation, and execution of infrastructure network projects. You act as a hands-on engineer within the team; assessing and prioritizing incoming tickets and current work load, dividing the tickets between yourself and the team members.

- Plan and implement any improvements, modifications, or replacement of security-related infrastructure components, ensuring the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks
- Implement and manage the policies, procedures, training, and systems required to achieve security objectives
- Participate in large-scale infrastructure projects and enterprise-wide
- Optimize existing enterprise-wide network infrastructure and collaborate with project teams during planning, design and implementation
- Provide architectural and technical direction, ensuring security solutions and requests are aligned with the department roadmap
- Arrive at innovative solutions that leverage existing technology assets to create additional business values
- Responsible for delivering 3rd level support, participating in after-hours 24x7 support rotation, and maintaining a strong connection with the core Network Engineering team and US-based Security Engineering department
- Align with the Global Security Architect team to ensure fitting, manageable and scalable solutions across the company domain

- 3+ years of security engineering experience in international enterprise environment
- Experience with ITIL (Change, Incident and Problem Management) Processes
- Budget management & project management skills
- Hands on experience with:
TCP/IP network services, BGP, MPLS, VOIP
Packet capture analysis
Networking Hardware including: Cisco Nexus and Catalyst 2960, 3750, 4900 and 6500 switches, Motorola 7500 series
Network toolsets including or similar to: Orion, Riverbed, NCM (Cisco Works), Infoblox
Network Security experience including: Checkpoint R77, Fortinet, ASA, VPN technologies
Familiar with: Firewall virtualization techniques, IDS, IPS
- MSHA Datacenter design and implementation
- Network/Security design, root cause analysis and industry best practices
- Application analysis, as it pertains to performance with network electronics
- Execution and delivery of large-scale network infrastructure projects on time and on budget
- Experience managing service providers and other vendors
- You are fluent in English, written and verbal; knowledge of another European language is an advantage
- Experience designing and supporting corporate systems in an enterprise environment
- Experience working and leading project teams
- Exceptional customer support skills
- Must be clear, comprehensive, and concise working with the team through firefighting drills
