On behalf of our Client, a US company that delivers complete hybrid IT solutions, from cloud to mainframe, tailored to each client’s journey, we are looking for Candidates for the position of Network Engineer.
Your new role
You’ll be proactive management of the Network and Security ticket queue troubleshooting incidents, dispatching incidents to next level of support if necessary (it can be either Level 2 or Level 3 depending on the position), successful resolution of escalated issues within agreed client SLA’s. creating and analysing performance reports, e.g. link utilisation and availability, packet errors/drops, CPU utilisation, managing Service Requests, creating and implementing change requests to client solution configurations, review and Approval of Client Firewall changes, ensuring clients & partners are regularly updated on the current status of issues, ensure that knowledge is retained through documentation of procedures and knowledge base articles.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you should have excellent client communications skills, experience of working in a dynamic team environment is optional but would be a benefit, experience in supporting high availability customer-focused environments is optional but would be a benefit, degree education or equivalent experience, fluent English skills, CCNA certified (or at least an active learning path towards gaining the certification or equivalent knowledge level), CCNP would be a benefit, demonstrable track record of the support and troubleshooting of Data Centre network infrastructure using Cisco routing and switching technologies such as ASR routers and Nexus Switches, knowledge and experience of Cisco ASA or/and PaloAlto, or/and CheckPoint firewalls would be a benefit, knowledge and experience around VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access) would be a benefit, knowledge and experience of Citrix Netscaler or/and F5 Big-IP LTM would be a benefit, knowledge and experience of routing and switching technologies including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP & VRRP.
