Network Engineer (Tier 2)

Our Client is a multinational corporation technology company with more than 71.000 employees worldwide. It is the largest company in the world which designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment.

Our Client is currently looking for a Candidate to join the Cracow team as a Network Engineer (Tier 2).

What You Will Do

  • Work for worldwide customers within his/her own team or with other Company teams to solve problems and enhance future products with senior engineer supervision in the Routing and/or switching area
  • Solve reported product and network problems of moderate complexity
  • Effectively utilize databases of existing issues, debugging tools and simple or moderate lab simulations to analyze problems and identify solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Provide basic systems/product training and intellectual property material on routing and/or switching technologies
  • Work on shifts (morning and evening in EU time zone)
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technology products in order to provide a high-quality support in current and future types of support services

Who You Will Work With

  • The team supports and manages all of our network infrastructure customers
  • Technologies supported by the team include foundational Router/Switch (LAN/WAN), as well as Wireless, WAAS, Security components, DDI/IPAM and carrier (telco) management
  • The teams provide managed services for many of Company most important customers across many different industries
  • The team is a dynamic and growing organization looking for knowledgeable and capable individuals to help scale the team as we move forward in a very fast and evolving marketplace

Who You Are

  • The successful candidate will have a track record and desire to excel at both technical issue resolution and customer management
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience involving customer exposure element in routing and switching
  • Good technical foundation in networking (CCNP equivalent level or above) is required
  • Knowledge in other technologies/products, experience and certifications are a plus
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing; other languages are a plus
  • Passion and demonstrated ability to learn and work in a multicultural team environment
  • Ability to drive to achieve goals with limited supervision
  • Analytical skills
