- Learn and keep up with the newest multiscale mechanical modeling methods and techniques.
- Preferably accompanied with more than two years relevant working experience in business;
- Significant experience in computational modeling, with a focus on creating thorough mechanical insights. Strong theoretical background required;
- Experience with explicit FE simulations is mandatory and experience with either Hyperworks, Abaqus or LS-Dyna is required.

Computational mechanics is used to accelerate the development of new propositions in the health continuum by Philips, to improve our understanding of relevant physical phenomena, and to enable new healthcare propositions in the market. You will work on projects that vary from impact resistance of handheld devices to the functional behavior of oral care devices to failure analyses for large-scale imaging devices imaging systems and its modules and components. You need to work closely with researchers in other research fields and product experts from the businesses. Projects range from short term (weeks) to longer term (years).Responsibilities
- Actively participating in research projects and delivering excellent results, both individually as well as in project teams;- Learn and keep up with the newest multiscale mechanical modeling methods and techniques.
Requirements
- Successfully completed MSc or PhD, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or Aerospace Engineering, with a topic in the field of computational mechanics;- Preferably accompanied with more than two years relevant working experience in business;
- Significant experience in computational modeling, with a focus on creating thorough mechanical insights. Strong theoretical background required;
- Experience with explicit FE simulations is mandatory and experience with either Hyperworks, Abaqus or LS-Dyna is required.
