SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director Industrialization & Launch EU this role is responsible for day to day running of the Industrialization department. This is to include the Advanced process Engineering and the alignment with the EU Manufacturing Engineers residing in the CFT teams. Leading the team to achieve its objectives as laid out each year according to the Global AME objectives which derive from the Europe Business.

Significant travel to suppliers & different plants to support design, commissioning & launches

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Achieve objectives as laid out in Global AME objectives and European Business Objectives.
• Take overall project responsibility for designing, commissioning and launching new manufacturing lines
• Plan, align and execute correct people deployment within the team.
• Plan and execute mid and end year reviews.
• On-site lead of launches at different plants
• Planning, delivering and the execution of project budgets are met each year at the correct levels.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all employees.
• Ensure team operates under a continuous Improvement philosophy in line with product, people, processes to be demonstrated through operational results.
• Ensure all team processes are in line with TS16949 requirements and are used, checked and maintained accordingly.
• Support Global Standardization Initiatives and programs.





SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Support the specification engineers in creating the DFA/DFM, Line Layout and PFMEA in the PRP process and lessons learned.
• Optimize between Capital investments and Bill of Labour
• Be the soundboard for the process engineers and encourage “global thinking”.
• Be the soundboard for EU Manufacturing Engineers
• Deliver Line concepts according the concept strategy: internal logistics, maintenance, facilities , systems
• Develop 3D Simulation analysis to get to an optimized flow.
• Demonstrate system- and product capability in close cooperation with the Design engineering department
• Identify all (developing) project manufacturing risks and define action plans to resolve
• Contribute to the Front loading principle and make resources available.
• Involve the Operations department to capture all manufacturing issues in the early project phase
• Clear communication of technical project issues through “One pagers” maintained by the Process Engineers
• Clear communication to the Line suppliers concerning technical aspects and timing.
