local IT manager

Responsibilities:
General:
- support for implementing the IT strategy for the Company with the focus on local IT Systems and the related interfaces to subsystems
- assistance to generate plant IT operating and investment budget
- assistance to generate strategic papers/white papers and specifications to form parts of the IT strategy
- market research and analysis of new products and technologies and include them for optimization of the existing infrastructure under consideration of cost efficiency
- work out cost reduction potential
Functional target (major parts):
- responsible for local IT support in the area: desktop, infrastructure, business systems and shop-floor systems (MES and CAQ). Target: Ensure reliable user support (first and second level support)
- responsible for local system operation: LAN components, local server and storage systems, backup systems, telephone equipment, desktop PC’s, notebooks, printer, copy machines, terminals, CAD systems, PDA’s, scanner, measurement equipment (with data interface). Target: Ensure reliable system operation of all local systems
- responsible for local system maintenance (hot-packages, upgrades, etc) and license handling. Target: Ensure smooth system maintenance and correct handling of license requirements
- project management for IT and IS related projects, project definitions including time and resource planning, cost control and progress reporting
Leadership:
- group leader of the local IT team. Skill level of team member/employees: system administrators, IT project engineers
Requirements:
- degree in computer science or electrical engineering; alternatively comparable experiences
- 3-5 years experience in Information Technologies
- IT architecture knowledge, user/desktop support skills, project management skills,
- Microsoft products (Server and Client OS), Virtualization (VMWare), Notebook/Desktop Installation, E-Mail (Lotus Notes), Basics in LAN and WAN topologies and maintenance, Backup
- SAP Basics, Sarbanes Oxley Audit support
- english – B2/C1
