We are looking for a Lead Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications to join the multinational company, with the headquarter in Israel, from the insurance industry.

You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

Your work environment would be:

Your role and responsibilities:

• Managing product development team (4-5 people)
• 50% hands on management + 50% development
• Reporting to the Development Manager

Essential skills for this role:

• Hands on experience in Java EE programming (4+ years)
• Hands on experience as a team leader;
• Relevant Degree (BA,MA)
• Hands on experience in EJB, Hibernate, SQL
• English- full professional proficiency;
• Open to business trips (Europe/ Asia) – 25% time

It would be nice to have an experience with:

• Experience with WebSphere/ WebLogic/ JBoss
• Hands on experience in SCRUM
