We are looking for experienced Candidates who would like to join new GBS in Gdansk - Maersk Drilling.
In this business-facing position your overall responsibility is to ensure a professional financial management that can support the future business decisions. Hence, ensuring a correct picture of the business activities in the financial reporting becomes a critical element of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Gdansk accounting department including: month and end-year process; accounts payable/receivable & general ledger.
- Reviewing the performance of other teams in Gdansk (to the extent of reviewing their output towards your entities).
- Taking full responsibility for the financial book-keeping.
- Managing the relationship & data requirements with our external accountants and tax advisors, who are responsible for preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns and annual tax returns.
- Supporting the data and information gathering to enable our outsource partner to prepare VAT, GST, Corporate Tax, WHT Tax and Statutory Accounts in the countries where we operate.
- Monitoring and managing the treasury forecasting of the specific entities and deliver reports as requested. Continuously develop, optimize & standardize the finance processes both within your team and across teams in Gdansk.
- Overseeing various accounting operations to ensure compliance with internal & external reporting requirements for both Group and Statutory reporting purposes, including being the Primary contact for Audit.
Requirements:
- + 5 years of experience in finance accounting or reporting
- Advanced knowledge in working with financial books
- Service Minded Approach to query handling.
- Good Ability to Business partner
- Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required
- Experience in working in international environments
- Experience in navigating, working and succeeding in complex stakeholder landscapes
