THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Biotechnology organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.
The client is a subsidiary of a global pharmaceutical organisation.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This position has two aspects that equally are a part of the job. On the one hand you have a hands-on position as your are the associate to a more senior scientist. On the other hand you have the responsibility of managing the lab and all resources that keep it running. The department is aimed at vaccine development based on bacteria. The position is freelance for one year, for full time on site. Extension after one year is possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for the set up and realisation of experiments and all documentation. You will evaluate all results with supervisors. Your lab responsibility will come down to making sure that all lab supplies are there, EHS, all communications with management and support functions, guide lab inspections and making sure that all guidelines and SOP's are being followed.
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc in molecular bacteriology with 2-5 years of industry experience
- MSc in molecular bacteriology with at least one year of experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Affinity with hands-on lab work
- Active member of the team with strong personality
- Environment, Health and safety knowledge is a plus
