Position Description:
The application development team creates application layer solutions to streamline and improve the workflow of business processes. In this role, the individual will be responsible for working as part of a global team to design, develop, update, support, new and existing applications. Detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to: consulting with internal business groups to provide application software development services or technical support from concept/workflow to production. This individual will also be responsible for creating the logic, performing the coding, testing and debugging of applications; modifying existing applications/programs as a result of changes in system/user requirements; providing technical assistance in the use of systems software or utilities.

Prodcut is a bank-wide strategic solution for all phases of the software development life-cycle. It consists of a wide range of components ranging from private cloud and application engines for deploying, scaling and monitoring the bank’s applications, through to software libraries that can be used for enhancing the frontend layer. This position is focused on adapting product as the platform of choice within Asset Servicing EMEA and extending it if needed to make sure that the following Application Objectives are met:

- An inquisitive and analytical mindset is required, with the ability to articulate complex technical problems in a concise and clear manner.
- We create and enhance Microservices in cloud (NEXEN), so a passion for cloud-based solutions and architectures is highly desired.
Tech stack and Tools we use:
- Frontend: AngularJS (1.2), Angular (5+), Bootstrap (v3.3.7), Angular Material.
- Backend: Java (1.8), Spring, Spring Integration, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
- Deployment: private cloud infrastructure (VMs or containers), Docker, Jenkins, Sonar.
- Code Repository: GitLab.
- Development and knowledge base: IntelliJ, JIRA, Confluence, Scrum.
Requirements:
- Formal education in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience is highly desirable).
- Exposure to working with agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with Test / Behavior Driven Development.
- Sound knowledge of : Java 7/8,
- Working knowledge and understanding of Spring, Spring Boot, Rest API, Microservices.
- Experience with Spring Cloud is a plus.
