IT Systems Engineer

For our Client, who is a global leading company in the area of enterprise application software solutions, we are looking for IT Systems Engineer.

Job specification:

• Focusing on hardware and software across multiple platforms in accordance to design documentation to ensure optimized service delivery
• Serving as key service delivery provider for systems availability and performance
• Participating in 24x7x365 support (including a rotating, on-call schedule)
• Performing equipment configuration, installation and repairs
• Identifying and documenting standards for a stable, secure, compliant and optimum operation to ensure availability of the servers, server-based applications, systems and services
• Preparing documentation to include systems/site design documents, checklists, plans and diagrams, testing and evaluation plans, and documentation of implemented systems maintenance, monitoring and support
• Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure related issues including network, server and messaging
• Participating as a team member on application, architecture, or technology projects as required; taking responsibility for project tasks, making and meeting commitments Coordinate efforts in line with the “bigger picture” to maximize the overall value of IT service delivery to the business
• Supporting the global IT strategy that defines what the organization will do to provide such support
• Proactively managing client expectations to ensure that the organization delivers on its commitments
• Maintaining current knowledge of information technology and keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies
• Evaluating critical systems, prioritizing work, and determining solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (or with at least 2 years of information systems design, implementation, or integration)
• At least 5 additional years of experience in an information technology or engineering role
• Microsoft MCSE or MCSA certification preferred
• Enterprise service experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, software and configurations
• Strong working knowledge of MS Exchange – 1-3 years
• Strong working knowledge of scripting (powershell, vbs) -1-3 years
• Strong working knowledge of MS Active Directory, Group Policy -1-3 years
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft imaging and software distribution (CCM, MDT, etc) 1-3 years
• Working knowledge of virtual environments including VMware, VSphere
• Working knowledge of VoIP technology and phone systems a plus (i3, Cisco, Cloud)
• Working knowledge of LAN and WAN network architectures in a corporate environment would be advantage
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix would be advantage
• Experience with corporate LDAP implementations would be advantage
• Experience with SSO would be advantage
• Experience with Lync and other IM tools would be advantage
• Other skills: ITIL, Six Sigma
