We are currently looking for the IT Supervisor for one of our clients from Energy sector to govern one or more installations in the world.
The IT Supervisor is a specialised IT role that governs IT on one or more installations. He/she is responsible for the overall IT delivery to the unit. This includes ensuring minimal downtime, maximum performance and handling any changes to ensure that they are aligned with the IT strategy and IT standards. The IT Supervisor must act as the primary interface between the unit and the company IT department.
The ideal candidate must build trust and personal relations with the technical personnel and leaders, as well as with the installation team. He/she should also be able to understand the business on the unit to such as level that he/she can assist the unit with any – existing or future – IT solutions. He/she will be expected to translate business requirements to IT requirements. He/she should also be able to identify new opportunities to use IT in the solution of the unit’s tasks, and transform these into project suggestions. The IT Supervisor must ensure that the IT on the unit is stable and robust. This includes gatekeeping, acting as liaison to projects and the company IT Management. It also includes acting as the devil’s advocate to ensure that project deliveries do not compromise the resiliency of current IT solutions. This also includes an architect role to a certain extend.
Travel is to be expected, up to 40 % time at the very beginning.
Our client offers permanent employment contract, standard corporate package and yearly salary review depending on the results.
