For our client, afast growing SSC from medical equipment area we are currently looking for Payroll Team Leader that would take care of a team responsible for payroll operations in CEE countries (with Poland and German) and African countries.
Your new role
As a Payroll TL, your main responsibilities would be:
- Own work processes, being the payroll expert, identifying ideas and perform re-engineering if necessary
- Maintain and improve accurate controls
- Allocate workload among team members
- Handle escalations, investigate and eliminate root causes
- Handle reporting requests to support decision making
- Participate in a wide variety of projects
- Train Payroll practitioners
- Establish & maintain payroll KPIs
- Validation of all payments and deductions
- Ensure full knowledge of internal policies and external taxation regulations – ensuring all payments are duly authorised, correct, and technically compliant
- Acquire technical mastery of the payroll systems in place
- Responsibility of being expert in all related processes and country specifics, creating, owning and updating documentation, communicating changes and providing training to team members, continuously looking to improve work processes to ensure the processes are working effectively at all times
- Lead the implementation of changes and manage projects to improve timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of the payroll processes
- Supporting the team in all administration aspects of their work
- Supporting manager in onboarding process of new Associates
- Dealing with employee queries in a professional and timely manner
- Corresponding with authorities and other institutions and working to tight deadlines
- Liaising effectively between various departments
- Dealing with confidential documents in adherence to Data Protection law
- Continuously strive to deliver excellence in Customer Service
What you'll need to succeed
If you:
- Are fluent in both English and German
- Have min. 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist and at least a year of experience in team management
- Have flexible and friendly attitude
- Have excellent communication skills
- Are an energetic individual with lots of own initiatives, ideas and strives for new challenges to show your skills and experience
- Are able to work in a fast paced, time specific and targeted environment
- Work well in a team
- Have advanced knowledge of Word and Excel
- Are self-motivated and well organised
- Can prioritize own workload
- Have polite and professional confident manner
- Have understanding of EXPAT processes - that would be an advantage
