THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Biotechnology organization, based in Netherlands.
The company is a subsidiary of a large international enterprise that operates globally and focuses on research and early development of vaccines against infectious diseases.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a lab manager / associate scientist molecular bacteriology your main field of interest is molecular bacteriology. You will work in a multidisciplinary research team that identifies, designs, produces and characterises new vaccine candidates. Bioinformatics, molecular engineering, functional genomics, molecular microbiology, and biochemistry are key R&D activities. You will use your expertise to execute complex experiments with a high level of autonomy. Your core expertise is bacterial genetics and biochemistry which will be used to dissect and understand host-pathogen interactions.
The role is for the period of a year
RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with a companion lab manager you will be held responsible for a number of general tasks, including but not limited to ordering of laboratory supplies, EHS, and communication with and management of external and internal support functions.
Job Position Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor/HBO with 2-5 years of experience in biotech/pharmacy or MSc in a relevant field
- laboratory setting experience combined with hands-on mentality
- Organizational talent
- GMP Knowledge
- Fluent in English
